Virtual focus groups

A focus group with thousands of people, not eight.

Tadeus holds a moderated voice conversation with every person you invite, in their own language, all at the same time. You get the depth a good focus group produces and none of its limits: no rooms, no scheduling, no dominant voice steering the answer.

No audio kept · No video · No emotion inferred from voice

The trouble with the room

The method still works. The room doesn't scale.

A moderated conversation is still the best way to learn why people think what they think. The format around it has not kept up: a handful of participants, one city, one loud voice, and weeks of logistics per session.

Eight people stand in for thousands

A session seats a handful, so findings ride on whoever could make it into the room that day.

The loudest voice sets the answer

One confident participant anchors the discussion and the rest of the room converges on their view.

Moderators drift between sessions

Different probes in different groups make sessions hard to compare honestly.

Logistics cap the sample

Recruiting, scheduling, and facilities take weeks and pull you toward big cities and head offices.

Every market multiplies the cost

Going global means local moderators, translation, and another round of delay per country.

Written alternatives lose people

Text-based dialogue tools ask people to type. Speaking is the natural way to explain a view; typed answers flatten it.

How it works

Every participant gets the moderator to themselves.

Design the discussion guide once. Tadeus then holds a separate moderated voice conversation with every person you invite, all in parallel.

  1. 01

    Write the discussion guide once

Define what you need to learn, the same way you would brief a moderator.

  2. 02

    Invite everyone, not a sample

Ten people or ten thousand join on their own time, from a phone, in their own language.

  3. 03

    The agent moderates each conversation

It probes, clarifies, and follows up the way a good moderator would, and does it the same way for every person.

  4. 04

No room, so no room effects

People speak alone, so quiet voices carry the same weight as confident ones and nobody anchors the group.

  5. 05

    Findings arrive as one dataset

Themes come back structured and comparable across every conversation, with the quotes traceable underneath.

What you get

Focus group depth, at whatever scale you need.

The why behind the numbers, from everyone rather than a sample, in days rather than a fieldwork calendar.

Everyone, not a panel of eight

Scale from a team to a whole workforce without adding sessions or moderators.

Spoken, not typed

People talk naturally, so you keep the nuance and reach the workers who would never fill in a text box.

Probed in the moment

Follow-ups happen inside the conversation, not in a second round days later, and they are applied consistently.

Native in 70+ languages

Every market joins in its own language from one discussion guide, with no local moderators to source.

Hours, not fieldwork weeks

No recruiting rooms, no scheduling, no travel. Ask and act in the same week.

Enterprise-safe by design

Voice only, no audio retained, no emotion inference, clear of the EU AI Act line.

The reach of a survey, the depth of a room.

Directional impact of replacing scheduled sessions with a virtual focus group.

Built for regulated workplaces

Compliant by design, not by disclaimer.

The EU AI Act prohibits emotion inference in the workplace from February 2025. Tadeus was built clear of that line from day one, so the hardest question an enterprise buyer asks is already answered.

No audio retained

We work from the transcript. Raw audio is never stored.

No video or faces

Voice only. No facial biometrics, nothing the camera captures.

Comprehension, not emotion

We read what was said, not feelings inferred from how it sounded.

Configurable by region

Region-gated controls so EU deployments stay clear of the AI Act line.

FAQ

Questions teams ask us first.

What is a virtual focus group?

A moderated qualitative study run by voice instead of in a room. Tadeus holds a separate spoken conversation with every participant, probes the way a moderator would, and returns the findings as one structured dataset.

How is it different from a traditional focus group?

The depth per participant is comparable, but there is no room. That removes the practical limits: samples of eight to ten, dominant voices, moderator drift between sessions, and weeks of scheduling per market.

How is it different from text-based dialogue or survey tools?

People speak instead of type. Spoken answers carry more nuance, the agent probes in the moment rather than in a second round days later, and workers who would skip a written exercise will talk.

Doesn't a focus group need the group?

Group discussion produces energy, but it also produces anchoring and conformity. Independent conversations keep each view uninfluenced. Shared themes still surface in the analysis, and you know each person arrived at their view alone.

Is it compliant to run with employees?

Voice only, no audio retained, and no emotion inferred from voice, clear of the EU AI Act line.
